The sixteenth century Reformation brought about a return to God’s Word as the supreme authority in the doctrine and life of the church and the Christian. It not, then, surprise us that the book of Psalms played such a prominent role in the worship and piety of those who were committed to restoring the walls of Zion. May God grant, not only in those nations where the Reformation flourished, but even throughout the world, a return to pure and God-centered worship.
